I gathered up my camera’s and lenses and headed east on I-74 over to Bloomington, IL to try and capture some photo’s of a Bartonville area baseball legend 12 year-old Payton McSimov. He plays the game with same enthusiasm as future MLB Hall-of-Famer Jim Thome and Bradley University legend and 1984 U.S.A. Olympic Gold Medal winner Mike Dunne. Payton who was diagnosed early in his life with Costello syndrome. He plays for his favorite team the St.Louis Cardinals in the Miracle League of Central Illinois with the support of his family and friends.

Images from The Miracle League game today between the Cubs and the Cardinals. I was on hand to show support for my friend Payton McSimov who is an Easter Seals Ambassador. My plan was to take a few shot’s of him playing a game that he truly loves. Well, my emotions got the best of me as I could not believe what I seeing. These young athletes put on a extremely entertaining display of there baseball skills. When I arrived back in Peoria to download my digital files I found that I had taken 1,237 images. That is nothing new for anyone who knows me. I never set limits and will shoot until I get what is needed. The photo’s will add up when you own camera’s that will capture 10 frames per second. I always welcome your comments.
